Friday is upon us again! It may seem to have gone quiet at Hengist towers but I can assure you there is a lot going on. We are awaiting photos of the machined slide bar brackets from Boro' Foundry of Stourbridge. Further work is then to commence on the trailing keep 'feet', the combined frame stretcher and brake cylinder support, frame cross stay fabrication and machining and front firebox support fabrication and machining.

In amongst all this is the movement of parts to Ian Rileys premises at Bury prior to starting the frame assembly in the coming months.

An interesting note is that the slide bar brackets are the first casting we have had produced using poly patterns. All of our other patterns have been of traditional wooden design.

As always the speed of progress is dependent on funds. If you can donate as little as a couple of pounds once or every week it will greatly speed up the loco build. Membership also starts from as little as £15 (adult membership). Full details are available on this website.
