Ready for Assembly

	The front cast steel frame stretcher has now passed through inspection and is ready for assembly.
Latest part produced.

	The last couple of weeks have seen many of the small items required for around the Draw Hook area of the front Buffer Beam and also the Tender Buffer Beam being manufactured. Pictured is the latest item, SL/BR/1128, Tender Draw Hook Compression Plate, Item 3. The part number SL/BR relates to the original British Railways drawing, with the BR part of the number indicating that the British Railways Brighton drawing office had been responsible for the drawing and the design of that item. The actual drawing SL/BR/1128 will show several items relating to the rear buffer beam and Dragbox, this being item 3 on that drawing. Although not a large piece in the scale of the locomotive it does have an important job to do, as it takes up the strain of the trailing load behind the Locomotive's Tender adding strength to the rear Dragbox.
