	Clan Buchanan at Glasgow Central about to depart with a train for the south. The first of the class, 72000 Clan Buchanan, was treated to a special ceremony at Glasgow Central station in January 1952 at which the Lord Provost unveiled its nameplates.
	72000 Clan Buchanan leaving Lancaster Castle station in 1957 heading south. All of the freight handling facilities in the photo have long gone.

	This photo is from a set donated by Howard Turner. We understand that the photo was taken at Crewe Works on 7 February 1954. Howard "spotted" 72000 under construction at Crewe Works on 28 October 1951.
