Highslide JS 72000 Clan Buchanan leaving Lancaster Castle station in 1967 heading south. All of the freight handling facilities in the photo have long gone.
Highslide JS 72001 Clan Cameron at Polmadie. This must have been taken later in the engine's life as it has electrification flashes and a speedometer drive on the rear driving wheel. you can also see the screens between the cab and the tender which were fitted in an attaempt to reduce the draughts in the cab.
